KD's new all female group The TX Ladybugs are stoked to make their debut performance in Austin for a good cause!
Mark Goads (resident artist) studio will be the stage for RED RIVER ART PARTY.

RED RIVER ART PARTY will be a great stage to hear great TX Music AND give to a person in need if so desired.
Donations at the door will be accepted as well as a raffle and silent auction for MIMI a beautiful Lady challenged by MS. MiMi is in need of a personal attendant twice a week.

The event will be from 11 am-11pm and The TX Ladybugs will showcase 8 pm-8:50 pm. This location is one block away from the Convention Center. This is very close to the SXSW events entrance but a SXSW admittance IS NOT required to enter this event.

KD and The TX LadyBugs will still be around after their set to meet.greet and enjoy Austin with you.

The Bugle Boy is an intimate concert hall housed in a World War II army barracks located in La Grange, Texas. Founded by Lane Gosnay in 2004, The Bugle Boy has rapidly become one of the premier listening rooms in the country. Artists receive the undivided attention of the audience, and the audience gets a live music experience to remember. The focus is on original, independent singer/songwriters, who perform blues, rock, country, jazz, swing and everything in between. In addition to wonderful music, the Bugle Boy offers coffee drinks, fine wines and beer, and is ALWAYS a NON-SMOKING establishment.

The Bugle Boy began hosting SUNDAY PERFORMANCE SHOWCASES in January 2008 for performing songwriters. National and statewide acts perform 2 songs each. Three finalists return to play a third song at the end of the afternoon, for a chance to win a cash prize, a spot in the bi-annual BEST OF SHOWCASE CONCERT, and a GRAND PRIZE performance at the annual ANNIVERSARY SHOW in January. Performance showcases are well attended and are hosted by Lane Gosnay. These showcases are a great opportunity for up and coming talent to hone their skills and for listeners to see and meet tomorrow's headliners.

The Texas Music Coalition will hold a free panel for songwriters on Tuesday, February 16, at The Cove, 606 W. Cypress. Schmoozing time starts at 6:30 p.m., with the panel starting at 7 p.m.

Sharing their personal tips on songwriting will be TMC members Katherine Dawn, Laura Marie, Melissa Ludwig and Mitch Connell. The panel will be followed by an open mic.

And be sure and wish Katherine Dawn an early “Happy Birthday,” as hers takes place the following day!
